Overview:

These are a large, matched pair of ornate gothic-style statement earrings, symmetrically suspended against a deep black velvet background. Each earring features a complex assembly of silver-tone filigree hoops, a detailed black gothic cross, and multifaceted crystal beads.

Suspension (Top):

At the very top of each earring is a polished silver-tone lever-back (European) clasp. A small, simple silver jump ring connects this clasp to the main body of the earring.

Main Body (Hoops):

The primary framework of each earring consists of four nested, concentric hoops made of a bright, twisted (or rope-like) silver-tone wire, giving them a rich, textured appearance. The hoops decrease in size towards the center. All four hoops are linked together by a single, smaller textured silver-tone ring at the very top.

Central Element (Cross):

Hanging centrally from the innermost silver hoop is a detailed, laser-cut or cast black gothic cross. The cross itself is highly intricate, featuring delicate, curling filigree patterns (scrollwork and fleur-de-lis motifs) that are characteristic of traditional gothic and Victorian design. The cross is matte black with subtle hints of a dark, metallic blue or purple hue.

Bead Accents (Cross Arms):

Where the central cross meets its horizontal arms, there are two decorative clusters, one on each side. Each cluster consists of a small, vibrant, translucent red multifaceted crystal bead, which is connected to a slightly larger, opaque, black multifaceted bicone or rondelle crystal bead. These small clusters dangle slightly from the cross's arms.

Bottom Dangle (Pendant):

Hanging vertically from a small silver jump ring at the very bottom point of each black gothic cross is a final, longer pendant dangle. This dangle is perfectly matched on both earrings and mirrors the colors above. It features one small, vibrant red multifaceted bicone crystal bead, which leads down to a larger, opaque, elegant black multifaceted teardrop crystal bead that tapers to a fine point.

The Hardware: They are finished with lever-back ear wires (the hoop-style clasp that snaps shut), which provides extra security for what looks like a relatively substantial, heavy-duty piece of jewelry.
